Print of the Broken Doll pub [previously the Coach and Horses] on Blenheim Street was a lively pub and music venue where you could buy very strong Slalom D lager. A favourite pub of mine in the 1980’when I was at Newcastle College of Arts and Technology in the Bath Lane building which was demolished in 1986. Sadly The Broken Doll was also demolished to make way for St James Boulevard in 1994.
